A day of falling out with technology.

I went to put the photos from my iPhone onto my laptop and it was having none of it. Turns out when I'd clicked the other day to update iTunes when the pop up appeared; that something had gone wrong. I then had to uninstall and reinstall iTunes which took forever, but finally got my photos onto my computer. (iCloud stopped syncing back in November, completely can't get it to work again).

Fast forward a few hours and I try to put in a West Wing DVD, now my laptop doesn't recognise the DVD drive. Genuinely no idea how to fix that one. Suggestions welcomed.
