The beholder's eye

Daffodil buds

I have had a really lovely day getting to know Fred a bit more.
He is such a lovely biddable dog, sooo naughty (in typical Basset fashion ) but always eager to please and willing to learn.
He went out into the garden this morning, and came in absolutely sopping wet having fallen in the garden pond!! silly boy! He has those wonderful basset eyes and sad sorrowful little face that just melts my heart......I had forgotten how much I missed my Basset hounds.
We took him for a walk this morning, with Pee Wee and Bert, and he met Charlii's dog Sprocket. The reck was flooded in one corner and all the dogs had a good splash around, and we had to dry him off yet again!
On the way back I spotted this clump of daffs growing in the green, and thought they looked super good with the sun behind highlighting the buds and emphasising the points of the leaves...so resisting the temptation to keep blipping Fred I decided to use it as today's blip. I like the different greens in it, and the way it gives me hope.
