A little tropical colour

Got up this morning to wind and heavy rain. It's not supposed to be like this! However the temperature is still in the mid 20 degrees C and the rain soon stopped.

Last night we headed to the local rum shack where they were barbecuing and enjoyed some local food and beer before heading back to our accommodation to sit out in the dark and listen to the night-time noises of the tropics. I never cease to be amazed by the fact it is night, it is dark, but it is still extremely hot.

These flowers are growing right outside our front door and so I decided to blip them as it is so nice to see exotic and colourful flowers when for me it is still winter and this is a very brief break from it.

Having a peaceful Sunday before going out to dinner at a beachside restaurant, which I am really looking forward to.
