Crab Pots

Brisk walk along the seafront at Scarborough today, fresh keen wind blowing.

Very impressed with these stacks of brand new crab pots, usually they are a dull brown colour, probably the purists will object to the use of nylon in their construction.

Nevertheless, it is good to see that theres is still some fishing in the North Sea, which has taken a battering over the last ten years or so. I can remember when Scarborough harbour would have been full of trawlers and other assorted fishing boats, today there were two oil support vessels and a few crabbers.
