Morning Profile
We got a light cover of snow during the night. The zero °C temperature meant that the streets were fast becoming slippery in the early hours of commuting. It's the time of the year when each and everybody has to learn to use their winter legs again. That is why I took merely two photos on my morning walk.
The sculpture: The City Grows (Kaupunki kasvaa) by Unto Hietanen, 1975.
Location: Puutarhakatu, Tampere, by the City Central Office Building (which is also from the 70s, architect Aarne Ervi).
Another thing that comes to mind when looking at the image is the swine flu that has reached the epidemic stage in our city this week. And that the shots even for priority groups are practically two weeks late.
