Basting the spatchcock.

I realised, reading the Sunday papers , that as I marked my 600th blip last Friday, the Syrain city of Homs marked the 600th day of siege by a partial lifting of the siege. I have to say that ( despite the fact that our system allows the likes of Cameron to have power for a while) it made me think about how very lucky we are to enjoy the advantages of life in a democracy. Tonight I will think of those Syrians in Hom who will remain hungry, hostage to the destruction of their spatchcocked country. Just saying.
