Strange weather

Yet another strange day.

Last night the storm was dreadful, with winds sufficiently powerful to blow over my bird table again, but more seriously, to break windows in my sister's home. She lives high on a hill, overlooking Belper in Derbyshire and the item blown through them is actually too heavy for her and her daughters to lift !! Some wind....

We met up again at the Denby Factory shop (and café where they do the cups of chips). I've given her another sourdough (the best one yet). Sunshine. strong winds, and then more downpours as I set off for home.

The photo was taken parked near Pipe Hill Heathland, looking towards Hammerwich (church and windmill) - with ominous clouds again...


Ps. Thank you for your concern everyone. My sister, her family, and animals are all ok. One Labrador was in the room at the time but she was fine after a walk xxx
