Here's Vivien (in front) and Vincent (behind) coming back into the store having stepped out into the pouring rain...for a smoke....these Frenchies!!!!

We had an adventure today - spent a little while helping (?) Terry purchase a new chimney and wood stove to be put into one of the cabins - the old one from that cabin will be the one to provide me with heat in the studio....then, in the absolute pouring rain, we headed out to a friends farm, to pick up some chickens.....by this time the truck was totally full of people, beer, wine kits, various other bits and pieces of shopping - and 2 large cardboard boxes with 2 chicken in each one!!!

Arrived home to prepare dinner, it was very wet and dark...put the chickens in the hen house, the beer and wine kits etc into the house and we settled down to fix some well needed food.

Pretty interesting day...

Saddly this morning we discovered that one of the 4 chickens died during the night!!! We have no idea what could have happened...all a bit sad. But the other 3 are well and the rooster seems to be in a much happier state of mind. He was pretty lonely since his mate died about 2 months ago! so, hopefully the other 3 new chicks will flourish there with him...he's very handsome and i need to blip him and them soon.
