Giant light box

So I dragged myself out of bed to catch the sunrise over the beach which was covered with snow.

I am not the only lunatic. There were surfers out and photographers and of course people with dogs.

Never done much photography in snow. Think ND filters might have been a good idea. Still it means more detail with smaller apertures, and not as much need for a tripod.

Had trouble deciding but stuck some of the out takes on Flickr and some from my recent business trip to Malaga in Spain here. There are some more predictable sunrises and an inviting swimming pool.

Spent the morning with the baby while my wife built a snow slide with steps for our daughter herself. In the afternoon we swapped and I finished the igloo. Before retiring inside to watch Tangled, which she didn't really like.
