Oh Asian malls...

Some of the most exquisite malls I have ever seen have been in Asia. People come to shop, of course, but many people come and leave without buying anything. Malls are a free place to sit in either heat or air conditioning and pass the time. They offer food of all price ranges and space for little members of the family to stretch their legs. Actually, one time I saw a woman speed walking the inside perimeter of a large mall in Bangkok, so I suppose they can be a place of exercise for all ages.

This mall had beautiful paintings on the upper floors and grand columns throughout. It had the spacious feeling of a royal garden.
