Light at the end of the tunnel
Had the most unbelievable day. Started with an interview at 8.15am, and the interviewer didn't turn up until half an hour later, I couldn't stay because I'm freelancing so we rearranged for this evening. I was late anyway for my freelance, and had to blame public transport. (One of the plusses of being on London.)
Couldn't leave on time as I had to get something out the door, so was 5 minutes late to my interview, and the interviewer could only stay for half an hour. Typically I really want to work there.
And then, just when you thought it was all over, I got on the wrong train home (it goes in two directions after ally pally). Now poor Martin, who was busy cooking me dinner bless him, has to come out and get me. At least I'd bought him a lemon cheesecake anyway. It was meant to be a nice gesture, but now I think it's classed as payment.
So, this is New Southgate. There is literally nothing here (sorry new southgateians). So here's a bit of the station. It also appears that it's glove wearing season all of a sudden. Brrr!
I really hope that after all this I get a second interview.
