The little dog barked
We started the day by refuelling. We bought 2 gas bottles and filled the transporter and then headed off to Augustow. ES seemed in fine fettle and Zula was pleased to see us and A with O who had already arrived when we drew up. After a fine cup of tea we called in on I and her mum for some aspirins and a cup of coffee and another extended chat.
The supermarket was the next necessary port of call where we bought lots of dog food and some Imperial sized golden quinces; all the way from Spain, quite remarkable, they are the size of large apples. Maybe they will be interesting baked?
Before leaving Augustow we called in on IS, not forgetting A and O for the second time today. I took a stroll along the river before going in. The ice is melting. One swan pictured here had previously been walking across the ice and periodically falling through it. Here they had just taken fright.
Before returning home we dropped in on A and P, who we hadn't seen for some considerable time, even if they don't live that far away. We were introduced to young A, who didn't scream when she saw me, which is unusual. We had another long catching up chat, some acacia smoked chicken followed by some ice-cream, before we returned to our patient dogs.
Tomorrow should be interesting so I'm promised.
My technical problems seem to be mostly solved. I hope to catch up over the next few days. I have been otherwise preoccupied on several fronts.
