Oxford

Today Mum and I were in Oxford. So was Jack Vettriano - doing a book signing. Now Mum and I are both fan's of his, plus is was Mum's birthday yesterday, so it seemed an appropriate a day out for us.

We took in a spot of lunch at Jamie's Italian, wandered the back streets before Mum made me stand and stare at the Brasenose gate. I didn't spot it. Not until Mum pointed it out. Can you see?

Then we pootled off to the Oxford Prison - now a hotel, met the lovely Jack Vettriano, had our books signed. Drank champagne in the bar before returning home 'film stars' having been interviewed by the BBC. No doubt our bit will end up on the cutting room floor!

What can I do for Mum's birthday next year though.... ?
