Stacked Logs
I saw these logs stacked up in Whitnall park today & I liked how they looked with the snow over them! The park service will usually cut the tree falls & stack up the wood, & depending on the park, they'll be used for a variety of things. Some of the parks have pavillions with fireplaces, so the logs would be used for burning in them. Brown Deer Park has ice skating, so the fire is kept roaring throughout the winter, so that the skaters can come in to get warm! Some of the parks sell the wood for personal use, etc. Lots of activity in the park--some kids sledding down the hill, crosscountry skiers, hikers--all human & no animals! We were looking for the deer or the wild turkeys, both of which live in this park in abundance, but didn't see any! We'll have to try again! Hope you all have a great weekend! :)
