Great day on bikes 'wining' the day away hopping from vineyard to vineyard.

This one was our favorite. Family owned and operated. The charming girl who guided us though the fine selection of Sauvignon blancs, pinot gris and dry Rieslings was the daughter of the owners. Wonderful Estate. The grapes are even still harvested by hand.

Had to give Montana and Cloudy Bay a miss, but it was worth the advice of our tour guide to avoid the commercial vineyards and concentrate on the smaller, friendlier family run winemakers.
