Big Foot/Feet!

These ginormous specimens are on the parallel side road to the Abu Dhabi Highway and are an eye catching advertisment, presumably for the Arab League cup that is in full swing just now.

There was a football forum taking place on Dubai Sports, similar to Match of the Day, but with a definite Middle Eastern fervour!!! No holds barred and no reservations....the panel chosen to commentate got very hot under the collar with each other as they put over their points of view but, like all heated debates, at the close of proceedings, hanshakes and smiles won the day!!!

One of my former students who stays in contact, has been goalkeeping for a Dubai local club and was last week earmarked to play for the UAE National Team under 21's when they begin their tour of Australia in 2015! I'm so thrilled for him (but asked for his autograph before he became too famous and I had to stand in line!)
