Napier, Art Deco City

This place was originally destroyed by a deadly earthquake in 1931. However it was quickly rebuilt in Art Deco and today remains one of the finest intact examples of a city in that style that you will find.

Took loads of photos of the buildings but this one made me smile as it bought back childhood memories of when I used to see the Black Horse and TSB on either sides of the street!
