Wasp

Identification – Ancistrocerus sp.

Anyone who doubts that fears and phobias can be overcome, I was shooting this wasp from minimum distance, about 4”. A very colourful wasp with an evil, dangerous look about it. Perfectly harmless though and never a threatening moment.

Computer update – the mouse issue got worse. Dragging and dropping became impossible. Having to use cut and paste as a work-around was very tedious, but in Photoshop, when cropping, there was no such easy work-around.

I spent all last night, reading articles on the web about the problem an trying suggested solutions, apparently, I was not the only one. At 06:30 this morning, I plugged my old 3-button mouse back in. The drag and drop worked, but the mouse occasionally hangs. I cannot remember, but maybe I changed it because of the hanging problem, but the occasional hang is far better than anything else.

The modern computer mouse is getting smaller all the time, and it is impossible to get a plain 3-button mouse unless you go to a specialist supplier. Yes, the centre wheel clicks, but it is a lot harder to use, especially with the small dimensions and my BIG hands. Photo=editing was a pleasure today.

Further mouse update - I just switched off all the extra mouse functions in control panel. Now the mouse is working perfectly without any hanging.
