This Morning
What a difference a few hours can make! This was the scene at about eleven o'clock this morning as I drove back from doing the shopping. Now the wind is booming again and the rain is trickling down the chimney and rattling against the windows. And the lights have flickered a couple of times, although they seem to be ok at the moment.
It's difficult to talk about anything other than the weather at the moment. I was wondering if the mare's tails in the picture are being driven by the jet stream, which is what is bringing us all these lovely storms. They are certainly being blown along by strong winds.
I fitted in a quick trip to the tip to empty the gardening bags, and then had another hour our so working on the pruning, filling two of the bags up again. They are recycling bags provided by the council and are collected every two weeks, which is brilliant. Unfortunately, the bags are a real pain to use, as they refuse to stay open when you are trying to put things into them - until they are half full, you have to keep folding the rims back. Still, they didn't cost us anything, so we can't complain too much.
Hope you all stay safe and dry over the weekend and manage to get some photograpy in.
