busy day at 111 today - lots of sorting out and tidying up

after i'd finished all the messy unpacking, sorting, tidying, putting away jobs, I thought it was time for some photos.

Recently had a number of 'aura quartz' pieces - these are quartz clusters and points - high grade Arkansas quartz, which is coated with different precious metals… gold, silver, platinum, titanium usually

The piece pictures is called 'Flame Aura Quartz' or sometimes known as 'Rainbow Quartz' - this is titanium treated quartz and results in this beautiful iridescent multi colour effect…

The pieces are quite small, and detailed, the pictured piece measures just over an inch wide - so overhead led light, background cloth and macro mode were utilised for a series of photographs (more can be seen on my Facebook album 'aura quartz at 111' at Liz Lizian…)
