The Long Goodbye

I had an appointment at the hospital today about my hernia. It's all happening very quickly. I need to go in again for a separate inpatient pre-op assessment, then I'll be stitched up with everything back where it should be within 6 weeks. Amazing...

It's a very good job the writing is taking off. The days of cycling 8 miles to manhandle furniture and vacuum cleaners are going to have to come to an end a little sooner than I anticipated.

And I shall have to get a comfier chair.
