We teachers can show these kids a thing or two!

Sports day today. Magic atmosphere. All the kids in school (185 of them) and the teachers were out on the field all day. They competed for their 3 houses (Maree, Tolaidh, Kerry - names of local lochs & rivers), and had a whale of a time.
With 10 minutes to spare at the end of the day, before the school buses came, we decided to do a spot of Scottish country dancing. It could've been a shambles; instead it was fantastic! All the teachers and pupils made a huge double line up the length of the field, and did the VIRGINIA REEL! (I am sure that this is not exactly traditional!). This is a dance which the kids love to do at our Christmas Ceilidh. It topped off a brilliant day.
