Planting Combinations

We were on a trip to the Botanics today to looking at good planting combinations. We looked at the newish planting around The John Hope Gateway, the rockery and The Queen Mother's Garden. All very inspiring.

It was hard to choose a photo but in the end I have gone for this one with layers of Cornus stolonifera 'Flaviramea, Hebe and Miscanthus sinensis. The Cornus repeats again in the background, and then there is a further layering of established trees and shrubs-lovely.
