First daffodil of 2014

I live daffodils. They are not subtle, delicate flowers. They are bold and decisive. For me they signal that spring is near, and that's always a good thing. This lone daff was found outside the West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds. I was visiting my father who was is in intensive care in the late stages of cancer. Shame to have seen the joyful herald of spring in such depressing circumstances.
