Photography with Inspiration

(An alternative title of "Hello, bud!" was rejected, some people might have thought it rather silly.)

This camellia has suffered hailstones and driving rain for the last couple of days. So, not surprisingly, it is damaged - but the damage may be part of its charm.

Whence the inspiration? Several decades ago I was at the Blue Pool garden centre - long since defunct - in search of ideas as to what to plant in the garden. The proprietor asked if he could help, so I informed him that I was looking for inspiration. He at once pointed me to this camellia, and I had no excuse not to buy it. It is hardy and prolific, producing these delightful flowers from January to April, the first colour of the year in the garden, and an inspiration even in the gloomiest of weather. So you should have worked out its name by now.
