Round the bend

Feeling elated tonight. Spent a loud and busy afternoon and evening at a kart track near Crawley, West Sussex. An unusual venue: an indoor race track with a necklace of tight bends strung over three levels, with steep ramps in between.

We were hosting the Southern Group of Motoring Writers Grand Prix, with 17 teams of motor industry chums competing to have fun and to raise funds for the roadside medical rescue work of Kent Surrey Sussex Air Ambulance. What a cacophony of noise, but what a lively atmosphere!

Great night had by all and a big cheque for KSSAA. Result.
