tulip mutation

I was looking at the tulip I blipped yesterday and realised that it had an unusual petal - well the lower part was more like a leaf but coloured yellow in part and green. On further examination I saw that it had more petals than the others in the bunch and 7 stamens rather than the usual 6 and an ovary that has 4 lobes rather than 3.

All of this would have passed me by if I hadn't taken a photo and looked at in more detail. Interesting what you can see when you look.
