Above Loch Arkaig
Our job in the hills went more smoothly than I could have hoped for. Assisted by decent weather in the morning and the kit working better -in some marginal areas- than I had anticipated.
Reassuringly the rain came in the afternoon and, if not absolutely soaked through, I came home with the feet wet and the rest of me slightly damp and cold.
I was keen to get the awkward elevated zones done early in the day and I was rewarded with some lovely views down Loch Arkaig. If anything the light was a little savage for the wee camera and I had to bracket exposures with the device braced against my carbon fibre survey pole which itself was pushed down in to the peaty turf for some stability. One of the images I processed (not this one) was the combination of two shots over 4 stops apart; sky and foreground.
