'Caroline's Home'

It's an indoor blip, today as it hasn't stopped raining all day.
Barton made Dolls Houses 1/18th scale just after WWll to give employment to demobbed soldiers. 'Caroline's home' was a trade mark from 1976.
In 1984 Barton was taken over by Lundby of Sweden and they continued to sell 'Caroline's home' until 1980's. Lundby has since been taken over many times but still makes houses and furniture today.
I am custodian of this Dolls house, as my friend, who owns it, has had to downsize (due to developing Parkinson's disease) and has no space for it. Her husband made most of the furniture as exact replicas of their own furniture in the 50's!!
