The Fruit Juice Vendor

I can't leave Udaipur without a tribute to Papu, for nearly every evening on my way home he has made me a large mug of freshly squeezed fruit juice and stopped me from getting scurvy! His little shop is tucked down near the walking bridge (foot bridge) beside a temple and his steps and bamboo seats inside are rarely empty for his reputation is huge. Pineapple juice was usually my choice for the smell is so gorgeous but there are such a great variety of fruits available and he makes lassis, smoothies and powerful energy boosters too. I shall miss him, his cheerful smile and welcome.
