Is this my cup of tea?
I read an interesting column about choosing. The column highlighted the difficulty of choosing. Not knowing what you want can be really hard and humiliating. The decision making in life is not always that easy, and for some people it is a hard and never ending battle.
I have always known more or less what I want from life, and it has made life easier. I have found it hard to realize some people being unable to be as sure of what they want as I am. It has been instruction and educating. There is nothing bad in either of them, knowing what you want and not knowing what you want.
Not knowing what you want is different from not having the courage to choose. This is very important. I have always known what I want, but it is not easy to have the courage to choose. The thing what you know you want can be at the end of a hard and rocky road, and not everyone can be brave enough to just start walking towards the goal. You can get hurt on the way.
So, whatever you do; be sure of what you want or not be sure of what you want - always be it bravely. The most important thing is, that you actually are sure of what you are and what you have, even if it would be insecurity.
Here is the article, in Finnish, sorry..
