Passport Island
The 25km-long King Fahd Causeway links Bahrain to Saudi Arabia and is one of the longest bridges between two countries in the world.. For 2 Bahraini dinars (about $5) anyone with a car can drive from Bahrain to what's dubbed Passport Island, the man-made no-man's land that acts as a border control for truckers, sheiks, day-trippers and the average person with a little bit of curiosity. Most curiosity seekers go to the observation deck at the tower restaurant for the spectacular views across the seas to both countries. I understand the views at night are spectacular.
There is an exact replica of the tower on the Saudi side too.
