Choke Knob Fabrication

My little Yamaha 250SR motorcycle rebuilding project is progressing nicely.

All the pieces went back together today for a shakedown cruise.

The newly repaired gas tank did not leak, the new knob on the carburetor’s choke worked well, and the new saddle matched my anatomy nicely.

Once warmed up, its engine purred and thankfully the transmission has all five gears functioning.

Certainly one of the best parts of the afternoon, though, was using, for the first time, my Christmas present from my son to make the replacement for the missing carburetor choke knob.
