Shelf

This is my shelf of important things. Lots of special memories on this shelf:

- The gazelle is from my trip to Kenya in school, as is the photo and frame, it's a picture of me and two of my favourite boys from the camp. They were so lovely.
- The half litre jug is from the Hofbräuhaus in Berlin on the evening I celebrated my 21st birthday - the only way to celebrate a birthday in Berlin, with lots of beer!
- The shot glass is from Baden-Baden, Germany's bath town. Poppy and I used it to try all of the different mineral waters, there were taps dotted around the town for you to try. They were all pretty disgusting, really.
- The Hertha Berlin jug is from one of the matches I went to last year with Rob, good drunken times! We always ended up chatting to some drunk German auf Deutsch - so much fun.
- Touristy, yes. But one does not leave Berlin without 'a piece of wall and Berlin air.'
- The black sheep is from one of the Christmas markets in Berlin.
- The owl is meant to be Athena's owl, a symbol of wisdom and knowledge. Picked it up from the British Museum in my first year of Uni while I was studying the Iliad and the Odyssey for a bit of a classical boost.
- The Mickey picture is from Disneyland - most people spent their post-sixth form holiday in Ibiza or Majorca, basically on a sunny island getting drunk somewhere. We went to Disneyland Paris. And it was AMAZING.
