there wasn't a lot of sunshine on saturday so when some appeared, i thought i'd better photograph it

this is tewit tarn, low rigg, high rigg and in the distance, thirlmere, taken on the way down blencathra. a cloud base at about 550m meant we saw very little apart from at the start and end of the walk.
we took the sharp edge route up which because of the wet was absolutely deadly. we ended up avoiding the slabs of green rock that had a coefficient of friction similar to that of a greased mirror and scrambling 'off-piste'
