Loughborough Formula...

Went for a walk to get a bit of fresh air after a day indoors and came across this exhibit so went to have a look. The Formula student car competition is apparently based on the scenario that a team of engineers have been tasked with designing a prototype vehicle for evaluation, based on the possibility of producing 1000 race cars per year. The cars must be high performance, low cost, simple to maintain, reliable, aesthetically pleasing and suitable for mass production - so no pressure there then!
It sounded like a really interesting scheme to motivate and engage enthusiastic young engineers!
