A slice of life
Part of University College London, the Grant Museum of Zoology is one of London's hidden treasures. It used to be buried in the middle of the extensive Gower Street campus, but is now more accessible in the Rockerfeller Wing.
My jaw dropped when I saw these slides. Cross and transverse sections of critter and bits of critter, the staining is due to Alizarin which renders flesh translucent and bone red.
