Food Bank

This is where the Food Bank in our Church operates from, showing the Store cupboard, the weighing machine and our Pastor and my wife. It operates once per week in our church but it is part of a Network of four in Dundee and 270 within the Trussel Trust in the UK.
Each distribution of nutritionally balanced, non-perishable food for a family is to last a minimum of 3 days and they can have 3 distributions in a six month period. Unfortunately, the number of people fed in this way has increased rapidly in the last couple of years.
All of this depends on donations of food from people, not just once, but on an ongoing basis and also the volunteers who staff the Food Banks. If you can get involved in any way it will help desperate families at crisis times. If you want to know more, there is a video here
