"Just thinking"...

...How cool it would be down at Casey Base, Antarctica, even in this weather here -(high 30s.C) - where the boys there can even get out and about and play volleyball in the snow without shirts on - but that ofcourse would only be when there's no breeze - they can even go for a swim, but that ofcourse - would be for only a few seconds...

...We have slides of all these activities - but it's a little late now to get them developed I guess after 34 years - and if so, it would be rather expensive, but we still have quite a few which John developed down there at Casey where they had their own room to do so..it'd possibly be an amazing set-up now to do just that..

...But in the meantime - we have what we have and this is just one of the pictures we had developed when he returned..we have plenty more, of the seals and snow petrels, the skuas, and the Station building itself, as well as the machinery, the men working, crevasses, frozen waterfalls, which would freeze at night and flow during the days, the fresh water from the melt-lake 4klms away which had to be kept circulating and all that. and all those pictures from the past... sorry about the reflections there though..

...I've been laid low today so this will have to do for my pic..the Atrial Fibrillation is playing up once again - high and low b.p. - but I see the gp tomorrow - they look after me pretty well..but I'm on the highest of the latest of medication..
