'Getting On' home

At last – Mrs W has been released and is ‘Getting On’ home. Her bags are being packed.

If you have ever watched Jo Brand’s ‘Getting On’ then you will have seen what hospitals are really like – NOT like ‘Casualty’ or ‘Holby City’ etc. As an ex med-sec Pauline has seen it from the inside, and consequently we could both see what was going on. The staff, from consultants to nurses and auxiliary staff were all excellent, as was, would you believe, the food; and Pauline had an insight into what the staff have to contend with – not least the Ws who can disrupt any medical consultation. 99% of the time our inappropriate humour is appreciated, and helps what is sometimes awkward situations.
