Peanut Suet Lover

The Pileated woodpeckers love the peanut suet cakes that we have in cages on a pulley system in the trees around our home. It appears the pileated (perhaps because of its' size) rules. The other woodpecker varieties scatter when they come a calling.... I had so many cute photos of a squirrel, but chose this male juvenile pileated just because of the vivid colors and especially the eye. Be sure to look at it up close, almost mesmerizing....
