Ooo-err!!

As I pulled the curtains closed this evening I noticed a stream of water running along the gutter.

A walk down the driveway revealed a 'popped' manhole cover a couple of doors up the road and water spewing everywhere. Or at least, I thought it was water until I got a bit closer.......yuurrghhhh!

Have to say I was impressed at the speed the after-hours council fixit man arrived to, well, fix it! It only took him about 10 minutes after I callled the council - pretty good going I thought.

Hope there's no residual whiff though! Now that wouldn't be very spring like would it?!
