Failure Modes

Left: After long use, too much tungsten evaporated from the filament, dimming the bulb significantly before it finally went.

Right: Sudden failure - filament snapped at a weak point probably when jolted over a bump in the road.

I have no idea why I still have these hanging around months after I replaced them!
