Holborn Circus

A hastily taken shot walking down towards Holborn Circus on my lunch-break from the PSU's offices at the Registrar Family Division. I worked in the building on the left - now much modernised - when I first came to London. St Andrew Holborn, on the right, hasn't changed, of course, since Wren rebuilt it. A very Dickensian area this: Bill Sykes looks up at St Andrew tower in Oliver Twist, Bleeding Heart Yard is a few hundred yards away, Fagin's gang hung out at Saffron Hill, and many others....
