Water carrier
Another hot, hot day in the hills. Even the birds and the dogs kept very quiet, although Kayla and Pepsi galloped up and down hill when I took them for a walk before heading back down to Rio. They stopped for a swim in the river on the way up and on the way back, so I guess that cooled them down a bit.
Playing catch-up again, but found the heat very soporific, so apart from getting up late (9.30 - how sinful!), I was definitely working on half a cylinder all day. One or two small victories, though.
Stopped to fill up with spring water on the way down. The one in the photo is one of several, and the best known. The water is supposedly still pure, but knowing the amount of building that has been going on, and also, alas, the amount of sewage in natura that is dumped in our once-pure river, we probably shouldn't count on it.
Left HH to do all the filling and carrying so I could record him for posterity from the car - how mean!
Surprisingly, once back in Rio, it seemed a bit cooler than last week and we even slept without the air-conditioning.
