The fires continue

It's late - after 10pm, and our electricity has at last been restored after 24 hours. Some poles and electric cables were burnt in the fires that have continued raging for a few days now. At last the pall of smoke has disappeared and we just hope for the predicted rain.
Hubby and I went our for dinner after my language class tonight - better than cooking over our camping gas plate!
Hats off to the electricity dept who have been working non stop to restore our power.
