Looking east

Another beautiful day today. I listened with horror on the car-radio on the way home to the tales of flooding in southern England. What strange weather. The golf course is adjacent to the college campus, and this view is only a few hundred metres from my office, looking east, towards the edge of Stornoway and the area of Point on the horizon. This shot is taken from the golf hole called the Dardanelles... not sure if this is because it narrows trickily at half-way, or because it has resulted in the destruction of thousands of golfers....
