Poor Morris
One for the men!! She's called Lulu!
My husband has a 1936 Morris 8 Tourer which he bought off his brother at the age of 16!
He's rebuilt it several times over the years. Last September we were on our way through Kingston to meet with other family members and their similar aged cars for a picnic in Surrey. Sadly there was a smell coming from the engine and we absolutely HAD to stop. He tinkered around for a couple of hours to see if he could resolve the problem but unfortunately we all had to be put on a trailer to be brought home.
Since then the enthusiasm to solve the problem hasn't been there and the weather not conducive but he's recently bought a winch in order to remove the engine.
Here it is doing the job! He's found out that the cylinder head is cracked, he nevertheless has a spare one and will try to solve the problem and any other problems :-/ in the next few weeks. Will update. Any suggestions welcome! :-)
