Sampler

I've been tidying up the spare bedroom and getting it ready for my sister who is coming to stay for a few days. I use this room sometimes if I want to read in the middle of the night and it is very comfortable.
One of the pieces in the room is this box. The embroidery was the experimental piece on an embroidery course called "Calico Gardens". We tried out each technique on this before being let loose on the main embroidery. Not wanting to waste the sampler I made it into this box which is about 5 inches square.
