Pearl River Sunset

Time to kill during the week long Chinese new year hols thought I'd visit Kaiping and its UNESCO listed Diaolou which are multi-storeyed defensive houses and other ornate homes built by wealthy Chinese who returned home after working in North America, Australia and south east Asia around a century ago.

I'll be publishing some of the pictures on Diaolou and as time goes by update the images with then names of the families and in some cases stories and history with reference to their homes.
